Ali Lochhead Sacknowitz
Ali started Chinese brush painting at the encouragement of her father who had been painting for 20 years. She studied on her own and then continued in Japan for 2 years practicing Sumi-e.

Ali’s mother, Carol Lochhead Johnson is also a long time Chinese brush painter and also a student of Ma Qingxiong. Ali has been active in the Chinese Painting Guild from its inception and is currently the CPG Treasurer.
